As per earlier reports, the deal has been agreed in principle since last month when Rosen was spotted at Bramall Lane during Sheffield United's Steel City derby against Sheffield Wednesday. The deal has been facing a number of delays since then, and the final touches are now understood to have been finalised.
Over the past few seasons, United have been the target of takeover negotiations with various groups having shown interest when they were still in the Premier League. Nigerian entrepreneur Dozy Mmobuosi was the closest to coming to an agreement with club owner Prince Abdullah over a takeover, however, the deal never materialised.
It is likely that the deal will go through over the next month and could carry over into the new year if any more delays are faced. United are top of the Championship standings and will return to action when they take on Cardiff City on Saturday, December 21.
